468 Wine is proudly female-owned and family-oriented, inspired by the birth months of owner Lauren’s three children: April, June, and August. These months represent the heart of her family and the spirit of connection, celebration, and love that defines who we are.
Lauren was born and raised in Portage, Michigan, where she attended Portage Central High School and was a dedicated student-athlete, playing volleyball, golf, basketball, and tennis. She went on to graduate from Indiana University’s Business School, launching a dynamic career in finance and recruiting. Her journey took her across industries and countries, but her roots—and her heart—never left Portage.
Driven by a deep-rooted love for the Portage community and a passion for entrepreneurship and creativity, Lauren created 468 Wine as a space to bring people together. It’s a place where old friends reconnect, new friendships begin, and families — like hers — can grow.
Now raising her own children in Portage, Lauren is proud to give back to the town that gave her so much. Through 468 Wine, she hopes to create a place where stories are shared, milestones are toasted, and memories are made — one glass at a time.
